A dry red wine with great body made with the Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara grapes in the Venitian region of Italy. Amarone ages well, typically for 10 to 30 years, but it can be consumed young. Amarone has flavors of fig, tobacco and licorice, pairing it well with ripe cheeses and game.
