A small Burgundy district where some of the world's best Chardonnay are produced. Chablis are generally known for being slightly more austere and drier with a quality compared to other white Burgundy. Oak-barrel aging adds vanilla and complexity, however, many producers use stainless steel tanks, producing crisp wines.
