A sweet after dinner wine, named for the Portuguese area from where it originates. There are many types of port with four categories: vintage (best and most expensive), ruby (lower quality), tawny (different vintages), and white (white grapes). When young, vintage port has strong tannins. As it ages, sediment builds. Port is rich, full and intense with tremendous ageing potential.
